Trust in God? Why?

Most of the time it is so hard to trust and rest in the Lord. We have so many problems so many obstacles that seem to be in our way for a very long time. It gets tiring after a while and we just want to quit. We have no strength or faith that anything is going to change in our favor. If you're going through a tough situation and you need help wouldn't you call out to your mom or dad if you knew that they could help you? Why don't you cry out to God? He's your heavenly father!!! And he is the owner of everything, and he has the power of everything in his hands. No matter how big or little of a miracle you need he's there for you if you let him be.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29: 11-13

When I was around 11-12 years old I was home with my mother and she was very MOODY. At that time I was supposedly "dating" this kid from school. But my mother didn't know about it. My mom was yelling at me and freaking out for no reason. I went into the bathroom crying and I prayed to God to help me. I knew that I was wrong by "dating" that kid in school without saying anything to my mom and having her consent. So I asked the Lord to help my mom calm down and if he did that I promised to break up with that "boyfriend" of mine.

Immediately after I left the bathroom there was my mom calm as a kitty. I couldn't believe that the Lord answered me so fast! But I also couldn't believe that I had to break up with my "boyfriend" and I really did like him!

The reason why I'm sharing this with is so that you can realize how much God cares about you, and the small details in your life. If you go to look at it, it was such a stupid insignificant little thing that I brought to God's attention. But I also knew that I needed to keep my promise to God. We need to learn to believe faithful to the Lord just as he is faithful to us!
