Where is your treasure? Aonde esta o teu tesouro?

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also. Matthew 6:19-21

We make financial goals because we need to be organized and plan for the future right? We worry about how many tangible earnings or "things" we have because we need to be prosperous people correct? Don't take me wrong there is nothing wrong with having money, properties and financial prosperity in general. But that should NEVER be our main goal, EVER! We make up excuses to make what we want priority in our lives. "I'm going to skip praying and spending time with God because I have to work more to be able to buy my own house, or to provide for my family." Hummm....interesting how that works, we want to call out and trust God when we get into trouble and need a miracle, Yet we don't want him to help us prioritize our life, our goals, and our earnings. Where is your treasure? That's where your heart is! Don't forget, if your heart isn't in God, your eternal life won't be either!

Não ajunteis tesouros na terra, onde a traça e a ferrugem tudo consomem, e onde os ladrões minam e roubam; Mas ajuntai tesouros no céu, onde nem a traça nem a ferrugem consomem, e onde os ladrões não minam nem roubam. Porque onde estiver o vosso tesouro, aí estará também o vosso coração. Mateus 6:19-21

Fazemos planos financeiros porque precisamos ser organizados, e ter projetos para o futuro correto? Preoculpamos com bens materiais porque precisamos ser um povo prospero correto? Nao me entenda mal, nao a problema em ter dinheiro, bens materiais ou prosperidade financeira no geral. Porem essas coisas NUNCA podem ser o alvo da nossa vida, NUNCA! Enventamos desculpas para poder priorizar as nossas vontades. "Vou trabalhar mais e deixar de tempo com o Senhor diariamente para que posso comprar minha casa propria, ou para prover para  minha familia." Hummm....muito interessante como isso acontece. Queremos correr pra Deus e confiar nEle quando estamos com problemas e em necessidade de um milagre. Porem nao queremos a ajuda de Deus para priorizar nossa vida, nossos alvos, nossos ganhos. Aonde esta o teu tesouro? E la que esta o teu coracao! Nao se esqueca, se o seu coracao nao estiver em Deus, a sua vida eterna tambem sera com Deus!
